Industrial Applications
The original 30-DOF X2 Ultra adds LiDAR, depth sensing, seven-joint arms and an Orin NX developer board to the compact X2 format. The refreshed Ultra changes the neck, joint count and interfaces; SDK and battery details must match the delivered generation.
This editorial assessment concerns industrial buyer readiness. It is not an independent performance test.

Manipulation and Perception
Published maximum 3 kg in specific postures versus at most 1 kg across the full range, excluding end effector. Seven joints per arm; verify tool configuration and tool mass.
LiDAR, RGB-D, multiple RGB cameras and an Orin NX 16 GB / 157 TOPS board on Ultra.
SDK and Integration
AimDK_X 2 documents Python, C++ and ROS 2. Confirm hardware generation, firmware, developer license and compatible package.

|---|---|
| Languages | Python and C++ |
| ROS support | ROS 2 framework; match the delivered AimDK version |
| Simulation | No exact-model supported simulator/version established |
| Offline operation | End-to-end offline task operation not verified |
| Teleoperation | Confirm model-specific controller, VR kit and license compatibility |
| Software updates | OTA; named X2 Ultra security support through 1 January 2027. Confirm coverage of the refreshed variant. |
| Documentation | Open documentation |
| Integration constraints | Use containers and preserve protected motion-PC/system settings. Rapid ROS-node creation during standing or walking can congest DDS and destabilize the robot. |
Do not infer open actuator access from public product marketing.
Safety Notes
Manufacturer demonstrations and collision/obstacle features do not establish a safe installed application. Verify emergency-stop behavior, fall/crush zones, trained operation and recovery for the delivered unit. Exact-model conformity documents and independent production acceptance evidence remain gaps.
